This LP gives listeners a nice sampling of Cliff "ukulele Ike" Edwards' early recordings. There are seven numbers from 1924 (when he was one of the first male jazz singers on record), such notable songs as the beautiful "I'll See You In My Dreams," the two-part "Stack O'Lee" and "It Had To Be You," and two privately recorded, risque "party" records ("I'm a Bear In a Ladies Boudoir" and "I'm Going to Give It to Mary With Love"). Although not definitive, this is an enjoyable release.
