Chris Flory, a talented swing-based guitarist, tackles standards, Latin tunes, and a few hot jam-session numbers on his second Concord CD with a solid quartet that also features pianist John Bunch, bassist John Webber, and drummer Chuck Riggs. Highlights include an enjoyable "So Danco Samba," the up-tempo blues "Drafting," "Besame Mucho," "S'Posin'," and a spirited rendition of "My Shining Hour." This swinging session is consistent with the high-quality music to be found throughout Concord's impressive catalog.
