    Personnel:
  • John Coltrane - tenor saxophone, soprano saxophone
  • McCoy Tyner - piano
  • Jimmy Garrison - bass
  • Elvin Jones - drums

John Coltrane's performances were often broadcast on the radio during his European tours, resulting in many live sets being saved for posterity. This double CD has seven selections from a Stockholm, Sweden concert and two songs that were performed in Copenhagen, Denmark. Coltrane is heard with his classic quartet (pianist McCoy Tyner, bassist Jimmy Garrison and drummer Elvin Jones) playing his repertoire of the period including "Naima," "Impressions," a 21-minute version of "My Favorite Things," "Bye Bye Blackbird" and "I Want to Talk About You." The recording quality is good and, even if few surprises occur, the music is quite passionate and often exciting.
