The Jazz Funk masterpiece of Akira Ishikawa in a joint project of Fusion/Jazz-Funk reminiscence of the sound from Herbie Hancock's Headhunters, featuring his fellow musician, the arranger Hiromasa 'Colgen' Suzuki, supported by second pianist Hideo Ichikawa. In addition of his regular sidemen (Takeru Muraoka, Larry Sunaga, Masaoki Terakawa), Akira Ishikawa enrolled new members for his Count Buffalo backing band : Takao Naoi, Eji Arai & Koji Hatori, future musicians of the Yuji Ohno's "You & The Explosion Band". "Get Up" is composed and arranged by Hiromasa Suzuki in its completeness for Akira Ishikawa, including titles "The Heated Point" & "Painted Paradise" respectively recorded for the "Electro Keyboard Orchestra" project & "Funky Stuff" album from saxophonist Jiro Inagaki, both released in 1974.
